I kept asking him to stop but he kept going deeper and deeper, till I thought I'd nearly faint. I hate it when it's rough like that. I much prefer a gentle approach.

If he does that again, tell him I'll come and punch him. I already punched a dentist once when he hurt me. I was 10 years old, so I don't think it hurt him that much. at least not as much as the finger that I've bitten with another dentist, or the third dentist, the one I kicked his balls.

I need to have root canal work done too , i don't want any needles stuck in me , tho' , i'm afraid of needles

retina ... no it's really not as bad as you think it will be once you get past the injections. I am a little sore tonight but I've taken painkillers and it's easing a lot. I'm just a wimp really .. and I felt it when the dentist told the nurse to hold my hand!

That's nice to hear. I think dentists these days are pretty good at giving injections. They give you a drop or two at first, let it take effect, then put in a bit more that you don't really feel since you're already a bit numb, then a bit more and so on. In the old days, they just emptied the whole damn syringe in one go. And it was huge back then too!

I have my teeth drilled too without injections , i could handle it
But with this root canal thing all your nerves are exposed so i guess it'll hurt like hell

Btw , had my filling fall out the day before yesterday ,
it hurted like hell , as if all the nerves were exposed , i couldn't even sleep
so i got an appointment the next day , she gave me an 'emerency filling'
Have a new appointment in 2 weeks , now for a root canal treatment;
i should've stood up for myself
(but i didn't know it would still feel shitty)
now i have to cope with this shitty nagging annoying feeling for 2 more weeks (although now it seems less)
i'm not gonna take painkillers for 2 weeks , i'm gonna call her again and demand
i get an appointment sooner than that
