I absolutely hate hearing about Elton having parties 'for charity'. Between the fortune spent decking out a place, paying the staff, buying the food and drinks, plus the fortune the guests spend on their outfits, I fully expect these parties run at a loss!

I think it's appalling that celebrities fork out, what, £1000 a ticket or whatever and then spend ten grand on their outfits and jewellery, and that's supposed to be their way of doing their bit for charity is it?!

It's just a way celebrities appear to be doing something for charity while not actually doing anything at all.

Geez, here's an idea Elton, why not stop hosting parties, cut back on spending a £100,000 a month on flowers and give the money saved directly to charity?
