trying to fit in? That's kind of how I feel sometimes, and it's not a good thing.

all of my life.

I've ceased trying to 'fit in' People have to take me for who I am. They either like me or they don't and vice versa.

I'm a unique person with unique experiences and emotions. I am who I am and I'm comfortable within myself that's the important thing for me.

in my case, (as an adult) I've taken that a step further in that I never really even tried to "fit in" with others I've known. just like souly said - either people will dig you as they are, or they won't. just imagine how disappointing it would be to "change yourself" to fit in with a group or be liked by someone.. then even after you make this change.. you're STILL not accepted!
so.. NO POINT in trying that way.

fleshofmyflesh's & fauxies' last comments are also very similar to the way I think- so I dig you guys for that!


as for Nancy.. I've seen many of your threads & you & I have spoken on the phone once.. so from what I know about you, you are someone worth knowing. people in the world who haven't taken/wouldn't take the time to know you as a person, as the nice person you are.. well, that's their loss.

there are times in every person's life when they are alone,
& there are times in every person's life when they are lonely.
as bad as these times can be, we all go through them for a reason.
whenever possible, as much as possible,
we should all use these times to improve ourselves as people
to somehow add a little more positivity to the world.

that concept is less important than
BEING WHO YOU ARE
&
fitting in where/how you can..
