It amuses me how these two phonies (Tom and Katie) both REFUSE, when asked point blank about it in interviews and such, to elaborate on or describe how they met. Gosh, most people who are sooooo in love in such an "amazing!!!!! (their favorite word)" way, are eager to tell everyone how they met their beloved. And considering how Tom and Katie are basically sharing every other excruciatingly idiotic detail & minutae of their "LOVE" affair *snicker* with the public, I wonder why it is they just can't/won't talk about HOW it is that they met....

This is all I have to say about this:

I don't give a shit whether they get married or not, but the whole thing is annoying as hell. Everytime I go shopping I have to see her stupid fake-ass smile (you know the one) and his smug grin on the cover of every mag. I used to love Tom Cruise, but his ass has gone crazy. "True love" my ass. True love requires no spectacle, no excessive declarations, no magazine covers, and no jumping up and down on Oprah's couch. I have friends who used to work on Dawson's Creek and they say Katie is such a bore. I guess the other girls he interviewed were too wild (I heard one of them was Lindsey Lohan).

And the fact that she presented Tom Cruise with the achievement award on the MTV Movie Awards was just kind of insulting. Have someone else do it, assholes. Quit rubbing it in our faces that you're together and your love is "real." They're becoming assclowns of themselves.

As for him NOW being so into scientology, rumour has it he fired his LONG time PR person a short while ago who was able to keep all the "crazy" side of Tom in check and out of the public eye. And supposedly he hired a family member to do that job for him now, and he's really now showing his true colors.

And, there's a part of me that so wants to believe they are just that crazy in love. Do I care either way? Not really. But they sure are giving people something to talk about. Whether staged or not, they're both getting more publicity now than I can remember either of them getting in years.

I think the saddest thing thing is that Katie is just starting to really get her name out there in the movies and this comes along. She should be big due to her talent not because of who she's dating, even if it is Tom Cruise. This I think will hurt her in the longrun and that's a shame. But you make the bed, then you have to lie in it.
