I don't know if it's because I grew up with a lot of females around me or if it's just an unusually large dose of heterosexuality, but I've always felt like I have a greater love and respect for - and a greater understanding of - women than most of my fellow males do.

Women are my allies in this world. Everytime I call a company I hope that a woman will pick up the phone, since we know how to talk to each other. I can explain a complex situation with all its different aspects that sometimes might be partly contradicting each other, and they still understand. They see me the person at the other end and the situation I'm in, not just the literal implications of the words that are coming out of my mouth. If a man picks it up, he's usually ultra-effective and only accepts straight answers. He doesn't want to hear about anything that doesn't strictly concern him.

If life is like a wind, then men are trying to find the areas with the most appropriate temperature or hook up windmills to extract its power. Women drift along with it, let it caress their skin, sail off with it to foreign countries. They love it and accept it.

Men try their hardest to seperate reason from emotions and emotions from urges and urges from biology until it's all neat and comprehensible. Women embrace the intertwined nature of these things that ultimately make us what we are. It's a big boiling pot of human characteristics, and the harmonious stew that's in it tastes great!

Women have the ability to grow new life inside their bodies! I think this is why they don't start wars; they've witnessed how precious life is from a completely different perspective than men have.

Women have mastered the art of communication. They don't have to use a basketball or a hockey stick as catalyst, they can simply sit down and talk to each other. And when they talk, anything goes. High or low, trivial or profound, funny or sad, private or public; with a woman it is okay to communicate about everything and nothing.

Young boys are mischievous, brutal, rowdy. Young men are restless, horny, annoying. Adult men are smug, competitive, arrogant. Old men are bitter, grumpy, slow.

Young girls are sweet, life-loving, innocent. Young women are ambitious, gentle, fun. Adult women are curious, caring, smart. Old women are relaxed, focused, wise.

So to all you wonderful wives, sisters, daughters, female friends and lovers out there: Thanks for lighting up my world.

I totally agree with you RETINA. I love women. I now lots of people think that gay men hate women. Not all of us. Sometimes I hear straight men talking so much shit about women that it makes me wonder. I believe these men are straight but why do they hate women so much. It's crazy. I'm not generalizing since I do have some straight guy friends that are crazy cool!!
