I was in San Francisco a couple of months back on a travel grant to study the Beats - I wanted so badly to make it down to Big Sur, after reading Kerouac's book of the same name. But the trip was too long to take in a day from SF and still be able to do what I needed in the city. Man, it looks beautiful. It's GORGEOUS!!! I love it there. I went to a 5-day workshop at www.esalen.org and took these pics: http://vinablue.net/galle...ame=Esalen I want to go back... Those pictures are amazing!!! What kind of camera do you use?

i felt that this thread needed reviving...
these two pictures are not up on deviantart yet because i wanna take nicer quality photos so it doesnt look TOO amature amongst all the highclass stuff up there the first was an assignment where we had 2 paint a picture..or just create art..while listening 2 a soundtrack of some sort...i chose the moonlight sonata..and thats what i came up with...the bumps (4 those who are wondering) represent the cresendos and decresendos in the song, which coincide with the rising and falling in the peice... : this is my selfportrait that was also another assignment..i would have never fathomed drawing myself, because im not 2 fond of my features...but i was allowed to explore with what i could do...one half describes my everyday mundane self and the other represents who i really am...my creative, artsy and wild-ish side...i dont like 2 do realism myself..i enjoy the artform but i can't actually do it...i suck and it ends up always looking amature...so this was my way of having the cake and eating it too : PLEASE 4give the quality of these photos...
