omg I'm glad you're ok now.
I guess for me it would be getting my wisdom teeth extracted when I was 18. It hurt during the "oral surgery" with the drilling and slicing of my gums. Lawd, have mercy! For days, all I saw was blood. I could not eat solids for almost a month.

Others I know who have their wisdom teeth out seems as if it was no big deal. I guess it was just me. shrug

Thank you....hug Almost everyone I know, who have had wisdom teeth removed said it was painful...don't feel alone...I think it is a individual type thing...

last year i got a serious bladder infection and could not urinate for almost a week.

i can remember going to the doctor and telling them i couldn't pee, and them handing me a cup saying go in here so we can run it to the lab and find out what is causing the issue.

it happend with 4 different people at the office that day... i don't think they could get it through their head that i was there because i couldn't fill up a little cup.

Having my wisdom teeth pulled. Fortunately they knocked me out for the extraction, but the pain afterward was awful.

That God for DRUGS!!!!! biggrin

Hint: When they tell you to get the pain medication ASAP. Do so, otherwise you'll be in big trouble. BIG TROUBLE.

I had a chalazion removed from my eye. They stuck a needle right into the lower part of my eyelid next to my tear duct. The doctor warned me it was going to hurt like hell, and he wasn't kidding!

Getting my cooch waxed hurt... but the pain was very quick and immediate. I had dry sockets in my mouth a few years ago from my wisdom teeth removal and that shit KILLED. Even though I had painkillers, I couldn't sleep.

Ooooh I forgot about dry sockets...I had those too. It felt like someone was hitting me over the head with a hammer. And then when they had to scrape the gums to get them to bleed again and clot eek

Never do I want that kind of pain again.

by FAR ... kidney stone

Fortunately for me, I have not experienced what I would call excruciating pain. However, my husband has had numerous kidney stone attacks over the years and he says they are the most painful thing he's ever experienced. When I see him rolling around on the floor in agony, I have to agree with him.

Appendicitis attack at 13. I hurt so much, and if I would have waited another hour they would have ruptured.

The most painful is when my back caught fire... Third degree burns, and the bubbles were the size of a basketball.. The doctor had to scrape the area of the burns. Very, painful.

My heater had gone out. In the process of waiting for the repair. I turned on the stove, and was about 5 feet away from it. A flame sparked and caught my shirt! Poof, just like that the flames were all over.

A friend of mine was there, threw some kool-aid on my back... To stop the flame. Very scary.

It looks like appendicitis wins for the most painful experience. It's the most common answer in this thread.

I've been pretty lucky as far as experiences with pain goes. I haven't had anything too major happen. I guess the one that comes to mind is when I was in my teens and riding a bicycle, tying to pick up speed by standing on the pedals more than sitting, and then I shifted gears...and then the chain came off of it. eek I managed to coast into a neighbor's yard so I could just fall over and lay there for a while until the pain in my groin subsided. Some good advice: never try to shift gears on a bicycle while standing and pedalling. no no no!

This reminded me of my aunts story. When she was pregnant with her last child when it came time to deliver the baby's heart stopped. It stopped because the umbilical chord was wrapped around his neck and every time the contractions would happen it would tighten the chord around his neck . They decided on an emergency C-section. They gaver her the anasthesia and when the next contraction came the baby's heart stopped again. They said they had to go in or the baby would probably die. My aunt agreed. And when they cut into her stomach the anasthesia hadn't kicked in. She felt much of her C-section eek

when I was 19 I had one of my wisdom teeth pulled because it was absessed and impacted. When the "young" dentist finished up he packed the area and sent me home with pain killers. I ate something soft took the codeine and went to sleep only to wake up about 45 minutes later seeing red and being in ABSOLUTE pain. Since I was home alone I crawled upstairs to a neighbor's apartment and begged him to drive me back to the dental clinic ( Air Force) When I got back the Colonel who was in charge of the whole clinic saw me after I cried and begged for another half an hour. He unpacked the area and looked at the wound, then he called in the "dental intern" who had done the procedure, chiding him with " look what you did, you stitched up a nerve in there" I almost passed out. So they took out the stitches and pushed every thing down and restitched it up, I had little or no feeling on that side of my face under my lips for a year until that nerve healed.

Even child birth didn't hurt that bad and it was bitch both times no epidural.

I was in a car accident and got whiplash..ok that shit really hurt I was so surprised because of all of the jokes but I was off work for 11 weeks and got disability and physical therapy. I still have neck and back pain 15 years later.

IBS---nothing like the cramps of the lower colon--who knew it hurt so bad???

fucking gall bladder attack, I thought I wanted to die...

It's interesting how some people have lived their lives relatively pain-free while others seem to be pain magnets.
