What's the most physical pain you've ever felt?

Besides child birth ladies!

Last night I slammed my ring and middle fingers in a caravan door when sliding it closed. I've never felt so much pain in my life...it was excruciating for at least a good 5 minutes. The pain didn't subside at all and only hurt more when I iced it. My finger nails turned black almost instantly!! Owww it hurts just to type this!

I hope my nails don't fall off sad

eek I feel your pain. I slammed my finger in the hinge of a door once at a club, and I actually passed out! (I have a history of passing out though lol ).

The most pain I've felt though, and this is for an extended period, is the back/neck injury I have at the moment. It's getting better now, but I actually had to go to the ER about two months ago because it was so bad. It's almost 4 months of pain now, but at least I'm off the painkillers for now. lol

And another would be when I had appendicitis. shake Another time when I kept passing out from the pain. disbelief

I dislocated my shoulder in high school playing volleyball. It felt like I had been shot--just blinding pain. I don't even know if I hit the ball or not. I just stumbled off the court and eventually popped it back in myself. It never healed properly (I've redislocated it many times since) and thus my potential career in sports was over. sad

My father is the toughest SOB you've ever seen. When he had kidney stones, he said it was the most extruciating pain he's ever felt. I mean, I saw him lying in a fetal postition on the floor, crying.

God, I never want those.

Ugh isn't it the scariest thing ever to see your father crying from pain? My dad got thrown from a car in 88'while doing a drug raid. He's always had back pain but he's developed a spur the size of my hand and all the nerves around it are fucked up. His wife found him on the floor not being able to move, just crying from the pain he was in. They admitted him for a few days and had to give him a huge shot in his back to numb the nerves. They think it could even be a pinched nerve and I hear that is excruciating as well. sad

So true. I mean, I've seen my father fight, he used to train boxers, I mean, just an old school tough fucking italian from north. So I mean, to see him so helpless, it was weird.

I have a pinched nerve from my herniated disc in my back at L5. It sucks. When it is really bad, I can't even stand.

Fuck pain, thank god for opiates.

My husband had a stone a few yrs back. He passed it after 9 months. He kept it in a container and he says he gave birth to it after carrying it for 9 months.
His dr told him the same thing you said about it being more painful then giving birth..
I hope he never gets another one but it is always possible...

I did that too. I locked my car door and then proceeded to slam it shut on one of my fingers. I couldn't stop swearing for about three minutes. You may have to go to the doctor and get the pressure underneath your nail relieved by sticking a hot needle into the nail. And yes, it will probably fall off.

That's what happened to me anyway.

Worst pain EVER!

It feels better afterward. If your finger is throbbing, I would go to the doctor and have it done. There's blood underneath your nail, and that's what's causing all the pain.

Ohhhhh I got a few for ya.....

1) I blew my knee out playing beach volleyball and by the time I got to the operating room, it hurt be touched in any way....

2) when I was a kid I was getting out of my uncles big old Cadillac and as I was shutting the car door, the corner dug in and tore my ankle for about 2 inches...to the bone.....

3) when I was in fifth grade I was playing baseball...and a kid swung the bat and hit me in the jaw knockin' my ass out cold...hen I awoke...it had become apparent I dislocated my jaw and couldn't even cry out for help because it hurt so bad I thought I would puke.....

oh baby...I have been injured so many times...I got lots of them.....

the worst pain ever.....

I was in the Air Force, during a mock readiness drill and my back went in to spasms and locked me up right where I knelt....they had to stop the whole drill and call an ambulance to get me out of there...it took 5 demoral shots right in to the muscles to relax them enuff to straighten my legs....holy crap I am getting the sweats right now thinkin about that! disbelief

Hi carrie..sorry about that, but I have a helpful hint for you that will bring you some relief....you might have to poke a hole in your fingernail to relieve the pressure.....it sounds nasty but you'll feel better.... feeling ill
