Well, I wouldn't say that I'm in a monogamous relationship...though I would say we are only with each other.

I dunno, what does it say if you don't have sex that often? Yet are intimate in almost every other way...all the time. I've been at a cross roads with this. I have found my life partner, yet it is the most un-sexual of all the relationships I have had. I know there are many factors in this. I can say that sex is not in the top 3 of what our relationship is about. It never was...not in the beginning...not now. I think the only thing nagging me at the moment is does this mean that our relationship is bad? My brother thinks so. That something is wrong with our relationship somehow. I don't believe that at all. Cuz it's not how it is.

I know the reasons for it...but not sure how to go about correcting them. I am pretty much his first and only sexual partner...so he has a huge learning curve...which doesn't make sex that much fun. It also make him the "non-agressor" meaning I have to initiate all sex. That got tired about 3 years ago. I have said things about that...to no avail, but it's not that big of a deal as sex never was.

This is something I have been wondering about. But I don't know anyone who's been in a long relationship who I can ask. I know that this happens to many many couples. And my partner is great in so many ways. I cannot imagine my life without him. THis has also opened my eyes as to how sex can rule a relationship...and that many relationships that I've had were sex is one of the top priorities...end up sucking. I also see how it rules/ruins other peoples lives too.

So that's where I am at with it.

I only see him twice a week due to our different working hours and distance...but we manage to get in about 4 sessions a week.

At least twice a day.
