NOw I got a few NFL teams that could give you a run for your money but what is the regulated leauge called, not trying to be funny, but I have an understanding that their are two regulated divisions and the third ahs to win its' way up to the second and second has to win its' way up to the Premier.

Not entirely sure what you mean but I shall try and explain the structure of where Derby County ("The Rams") are..

Imagine 3 divisions

Premiership, Championship and Division 1

The Premiership is where everyone wants to be (there is a £20 million gap between top team in Champuionship and bottom team in Premiership).

Each season the top 2 teams from Div 1 and the Championship move up a division/teir.

Teams who finished 3rd 4th and 5th in each division then play-off aginst each other for a 3rd slot in the next division up.

So basically the 'best' 3 teams in each go up and the worst 3 go down.

However, and this is where it get corrupt, if your debts get too much and you cant afford to run the club you go into administration which means all your assest belong to the bank (stadium, players etc) and can be sold off...usually a VERY bad thing

But not if you are the owners of Derby County who bought the club for £1 (yes thats right £1)...if we go into administration the owners will get millions once the bank by them out.

Now,rumour has it, that some dishonest people within the club have been trying everything to get us in that state.

Fortunately the players were so good this season that it didnt happen and we finished 4th...losing out in the playoffs to my dear friend from West Ham - so they driven the manager out instead

Thanks I was wondering how the system worked, I thought htere were 3 teirs, but I wasn't sure. I had no idea about the money aspect, as strong as fan bases are there I figured a few finicial harships but nothing as drastic as the teams assets being sold off, so does the team still play the next season or does if fold completely...

It's a'shame they wont get to defend their title...but it was a remarkable game, coming back from 3-nil...truly a match for the ages.

They sure did. Not that I saw much of it, I'm a very bad fan, I don't even have sky sports. boxed It's been so long since I've been to a game I'd happily go to see Man U, well, maybe...
Those kits cost a fortune as well, I pity all the parents that have to buy them for their kids.

Next season I plan to see a match on the pitch, I haven't had the pleasue of taking a trip across the pond yet so It'll be my firts, the fans are amazing...what do they sing, it's hard to make out on FSC...

Oh dear me, if you have never heard English football fans singing before, you have a few surprises coming your way...

What you get is famous old songs (hymns even) with the lyrics somewhat altered...usually at the expense of the opposing team and usually using some of the English language's finest obscenities.

Some weeks it is worth the entry money just to hear the crowd, never mind the game that's going on below..
