if i met someone and i was really into them, learning that they used to be another gender would certainly be big news, but i'd like to think i'd still really be into them. and i'm sure there's some kind of protocol or etiquette on the side of the transgendered person to take responsibility for sharing this news with the person they're seeing.

nah. when i was 19 i already had conversations with friends who were transgendered and pretty much understood it.

sad i understand it. Whats not to understand? Accepting it I do too, but only to a degree. As for my question if u found ur partner was once another sex, u 100% would not mind about that? Thats why I do not 100% accept people like this. Its just creepy

see my post above.

and just because someone is transgender, doesn't mean you have to date 'em. so what's the problem?

If a man becomes a women, they stil have testosterone right just like guys? Can they alter that?

Its great that u can accept it. But I guess Iam too narrowminded.

I would have no problem being mates with a transgender. My upbringing tells me I should though sadly. U should hear the chavs on my estate. They make me sick at times but I gotta save face otherwise I'll get a kick in.

well, there is hormone therapy. i don't know the particulars of how that works, but i think it's pretty common practice.

Oh, estate is equivilent of a block in US. Where the poor live basically. Chavs being a slang media word for teens who are basically wannabe thugs and idolize 50 cent. Save face means I gotta keep these people sweet unfortunately

I hate to say this, but recently I know they kicked a gay guy so badly he went to hospital. He was a good frined of mine years ago.

These "chavs" are ok if u catch them on their own. But in a group, they are thugs looking for fights. But some their views are quite sick. They get it from their parents proberly. Lukily my parents dont care about anything about sex, race, class etc.....same with me.

A friend of mine told me he has always felt he's born to a wrong body. Now he is on his way to turn to a woman but it's going to be a longish process but he wants it. He says it's quite hard for his wife but they have been in therapy together and she's beginning to understand better. His mother is a bit non-understanding and thinks he's just having a mood or something.

I think he's brave in what he is doing. Not many people have the strength.

Yes, it will take lots of strength & courage but I am sure it will be worth it in the end.
As long as he is finally happy after he gets his body changed.

I have seen a few sex change shows lately and it is always a man changing into a women..
What gives, WHY??
confuse

I am a women and some days I get so tired of putting on make up and dressing all feminine.
It gets old after a while.

I do admit that I enjoy watching those shows. I find it very interesting. the last one I watched was a bit too graphic-

While I was doing my hair this morning I thought of the last man I saw change into a women and I thought, WHY, WHY, WHY???
It is a lot of work!

Trust me, if the man had to go through the following in addition to surgery: PMS, bloating, heavy flowing menstural periods, headaches, childbirth, hot flashes, menupause. He would want to keep his balls. There is more to being
a women than fucking men and wearing pumps.

I realize that my earlier comment was a bit harsh. But I do hope this response - and others - are facetiously intended.

those things dont make a woman...one of my bestfriends had a hysterectomi (sic?) at 30...

does that mean she is no longer a woman?

what makes a woman? whatever the damn hell *she* wants.....

a woman who hates men= A WOMAN

a woman who sleeps with woman= A WOMAN

a woman who refuses to have children= A WOMAN

a woman who used to be a man= A WOMAN

each of them have the right to exist and be happy in bliss...

, I don't see how you can be that insensitive and dissmiss a womens experiences. Like for example, you stated you freind had to go through hysterirectomy. Again, these are expereinces that men will never have to endure that's my point. At first, I thought you were female. But then, I checked your profile and that explains why your in doubt.
