a very sweet and lovely woman I know...whom I met here at the org and eventually met in person just recently said I was the most laid back, unmaterialistic, unjudgemental person she ever met and when she's around me she's inspired to be a better person!!!
that is the absolute NICEST, SWEETEST most UNBELIEVABLE thing anyone has ever said to me! I love her too! "not a fan" yeah...ok

Many very nice things have been said about me, but the one that stands out the most, and that I do hear from time to time, is that my presence is calming.
A few months ago I spoke to 1st and 2nd graders about eating healthy and why it is not only good for you, but how eating the wrong foods can make you hyper and not pay attention. The principal called me aside after the speech and told me that if ever I was interested in being a volunteer teachers aid at the school to let her know because she's never seen a parent or speaker that came to the school, walk into an auditorium of kids and upon hitting the stage have the entire group of kids just hush immediately before a word is spoken. I declined, as I'm not a big fan of children, but it did make me feel really good. I get that from mother's a lot, too, though... usually their kids will come up and cuddle next to me and sit quietly and all the while I'm wishing they'd just go away from me... lol. Maybe this makes me feel good because of the whole "spaz" thing on the other thread, but many people that I've met in life have said that upon meeting me I calm them. Of course, other people that I've met wished I'd exit immediately, but of those people, I've usually felt the same about them.

That would explain a lot lol... A lot of time changing the diet can make kids that were put on Ritalin become less hyper and find out they didn't have ADD after all. Give a child a huge bagel or tons of waffles in the morning... well, you've just given them one hell of a sugar buzz. I wasn't suprised, when I asked the classes to raise hands if they had sugar cereal, bagels, toast, waffles, etc. in the morning before school and damned near every one of them raised their hands! The majority of them had nothing but sugar for most of the day. And tons of soda, too. It's crazy!

Well, I sometimes feel a little hyper, at at least feel like I can sit still without moving my legs, drumming with my hands to the music, or just plain act impatient (even though I can be very patient). I do eat a lot of junk food. I never knew it had that effect.

I think most of my life I had long hair. but my hair is too damn messy. I'm not sure long hair like that is fashionable these days. Might get picken on at school for that. But I'm not sure. I stopped following fashion when I was errr...16 or so.

People mostly love me because I'm very open, honest and lively. I'm a fun person to hang out with, and if I'm very happy, I can be like a little sun; everyone turns around and asks for warmth.
Still, I'm very very insecure at the same time, and this 'hello, this is me, please let's share some love' is also my way of protecting myself. People who don't know me find me arrogant, those who really get to know me are often suprised by seeing a weak child instead of the strong woman they think me to be. Ok That's enough. Another negative thing about me is that I like to talk about myself.

My big brother, who did nothing but beat my ass growing up, told me a few years ago that I was lovable.
Last week, my bf told me I look hot in my jeans A coworker told me I was a bitch and that she loved me for it. My priest told me I look hot in my jeans. No, no...he said I had a big heart. A client told me yesterday that I took a load off of his mind and made him feel better after having a bad day.
