He did have a thing for young girls (and boys) and my parents weren't too pleased about him, but they knew there wasn't much they could do about it. Btw, he was a bit younger, when I come to think about it. I was born in 1981, he was born in 1977. It must have been the summer of 1995. My 14th birthday was the next October.

As a parent I would have had a talk with the guy and possibly his parents too if he was still living at home. I would have made it very clear being friends would be alright, but nothing more than that. Would that push you into his arms even more?
