[Edited 6/8/05 17:13pm] CO-F'ING SIGN. I had nightmares about it even before seeing the movie. I would hear Tubular Bells on t.v. and I knew that the trailer for it was about to come on so I'd run out of the room. I saw the movie 5 years later. Texas Chainsaw Massacre Edward Scissorhands Oh shit! The remake was something else! I couldn't watch the whole thing. I was afraid of truckers for a while after seeing "Joy Ride". The Exorcist still creeps me out to this day.
What movie really scared the shit out of me as a kid though was this British horror movie called The Woman In Black. It was just...disturbing. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Does anybody remember a movie called LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH. I think it was made in the 70's. Well that movie really freaked me out. There's a scene where a woman comes out of a pond in a wedding dress. Oh my God. I almost peed my pants when I saw it. I think it was a made for t.v. movie too. I ended up tracking it down and now I own it on vhs. Yey!! I watched it again and it still kind of creeped me out. Great I just found a picture of it on GOOGLE and I'm tripping out.

But it scared the living crap out of me as a kid. oooooh yeah for sure I didn't have nightmares about it as such but I sure couldn't get it out of my head there are a few from childhood that really stick out in my mind...The Twilight Zone movie scared the shit out of me (you wanna see something REALLY scary? lol) ...and also a movie called "something wicked this way comes" probably one of the spookiest movies I've ever seen

Batman Returns. I saw it on video after it was released - so I must have been around 9 or 10. The Penguin gave me huge nightmares. I had to sleep in my parents' bed. Tim Burton made the film really, really creepy.
The funny thing is I LOVE Danny DeVito now () and the film is one of my favorites. I mean, like, where is the sun?

HowComeYouDontCallme said: Natsume said: The thing is awesome! did you know it almost killed Carpenter's career? No, How?? It was simply released at the wrong time. 1982 (the year it was released) was the year of ET and The Thing was the complete antithesis of that. The film was too pessimistic; coupled with its bleak outlook on society and 1982's relatively upbeat outlook, it was destined to fail. Critics and audiences alike hated it. It's too bad, really, because it's a fantastic film, and greatly complicates the original by Howard Hawks. I mean, like, where is the sun?
