She's about to be four, only a couple months left. She wants to wear dresses and have her hair and nails done. She'll stand in front of the mirror and look at herself make faces or just posing. She'll come and ask me if she's pretty and tell me she wants to be the prettiest girl in school....could this be from being told she is or is it just a phase?

Any one else have daughters who went thru this?

She just may have been born to it but I would also monitor what television she is watching..... Especially pop stars and any music television. Just reinforce other values and talk it over with her regularly.

why can't little kids be little kids they grow up so quick, from toddlers to teenagers with no innocence in between.
I only have boys, but they have gone from ga-ga to bang bang you're dead.

She probably looks at the ugly girls at school and says "I dont want to look like them!"

She doesn't watch things like that on tv. She watches PBS sometimes, Strawberry Shortcake and the barbie movies....I want her to be active so we are always outside playing games, riding bikes, and going to the park. I think sitting in front of the tv causes bad habits....I don't want her to grow up thinking that's how to spend your time.....(My fav pastime with her...bedtime stories)

She also thinks burping and farting is funny, thanks to her dad, she now tell me everytime she does it, then she'll laugh
