Yes. Even though it's just the internet, the words are typed by people. And this is a place a visit a lot, and seeing those words, or even knowing they're still here, saying things that hurt, I can't just ignore them.

nod sometimes I wonder, is it just without thinking or with genuine malice? It's so hard to tell if it's meant to be ironic or something, you can't see a facial expression or hear the intended tone of voice.

That's why the emoticons are here, to give us a clue about the intentions of the words.

It has happened. I find it has more to do with where I'm at that day than what is said and by whom. I've learned to stay off the org when I'm feeling sensitive, and to leave for a week or two if somebody manages to get under my skin. confused

do words coming from across the ocean or anywhere else and posted really affect you in anyway? have you ever taken things personally here?

they don't bother me, well i take that back...sometimes.just wondering. discuss.

yes nod I've taken it personally when things have been said to me before absolutely

words DO really hurt because behind those words is a person with flesh and blood and a heart that feels

life is not that simple. are you saying the truth to help a person who you really care about and feel they are fucking up their lives? or is it simply to degrade them? if its to degrade them then there's no point to wasting your breath. most of the time we know the difference between right and wrong and what we are doing with our lives. so sometimes if your saying the truth out of malice it hold no purpose but to be mean and that says more about the person saying the truth than the person who its directed towards. so words can hurt. and when a person is saying them make sure its your place to say it and think about the reasons behind it.
