Man Faces Charges After Chasing, Stabbing Pimp




MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -- A local man was taken into custody after chasing and stabbing a pimp, Local 4 reported.

Anthony Bland (pictured, left) told police that he picked up a prostitute and brought her back to his apartment in Mount Clemens. Bland then received a visit from a man who was apparently a pimp, the station reported.

"He kept pounding on the door trying to get her to come outside. (Bland) wouldn't let her out," said Detective Jeff Bishop, of the Mt. Clemens Police Department.

When Bland opened the door, the man rushed into the apartment and an altercation occurred. Bland grabbed a steak knife and cut the man in the leg, police said.

The man fled the apartment, but Bland chased after him with the knife in his hand, the station reported. Bland caught the man on a sidewalk across the street from the apartment building and allegedly continued to stab him.

"His threat was over. The guy was running away from him (but) he chased him down and proceeded to stab him," Bishop said.

Bland appeared in court on Wednesday to face charges.

The man who was stabbed was reported in stable condition.
