i plan on starting this summer...
it's really a commitment that's for sure
lauryns were really trained, i believe they used thread @ one point when she was starting out
i jus plan 2 keep wearing extentions until they start locking themselves..with the regular palmrolling and proper care they'll turn out great hun

make sure this is something u can see yourself sportin years down the road too...not saying shaving your hair off wouldnt look good, but it's a big loss...
i'm sure you'll make the right decision!
i've been wanting 2 do this since i was 14...i'm 19 now and i think i can do it...

You've been wanting something funky for a while now. I think this hair is better and easier to manage than the other set of hair. I am also for "doing it yourself hair" It takes a while, but it looks better...always.

i think they're a waste of time
i love my hair straight, but the price i pay isn't worth it...the price meaning my hair falling out all the time...
extensions are the best way 2 start training your locks, that's what my sister did around 7 years ago, her locks are now halfway down her back...they're gorgeous..
im impatient too but we'll see how it goes!

This thread is sooooo vain.

I have always thought we should not put too much emphasis on looks and focus on the inside.

no not @ all
once your hair starts lockin on it's own u can stop the extensions and jus let them out
everytime u want your hair rebraided, take them out, don't separate your natural hair..wash,condition, palmroll and moisturize...the rest is history my dear smile

2 add 2 what i jus posted
if u don't think palmrolling is permanent enough
u can interlock your locks..it's hard 2 explain really

you'd take one lock...and thread the end of it through the root and pull it all the way through...it looks just as nice as normal palmrolling

if u kno someone that knows how 2 do extensions, the most it'll cost u is 20$ and that's only for hair...unless they charge...

other than that you're looking @ costs for hair oil/food, conditioner and shampoos...like any other person...
and you'll see tons of products made expecially for locks...it's not neccessary at all...u can use what u feel treats your hair the best
let me put it this way, if u see dark&lovely selling some kinda shit for 15$ when u can get dax or tcb for 7$...stick with what u kno, and get the dax or tcb girl LOL

i've learned so much from helping my sister out with her hair...i love it to death nod

just be cautious that, when u wash it and it gets longer, it will get heavy LOL
