STARTED RUNNING AGAIN just started running again this week after not doing very much in the last 5 years.....put on the gear and off i went thinking i could run 3 miles no problem like i used to ...i was blowing out my arse after 1 mile and after just about crawling home after 3 miles, i thought i was going to die ....hoping to run the scottish half marathon this year but its going to be a lot harder than i thought | |

Keep at it bruv Believe me, I know the pains (and injuries ) of hitting the tarmac after a long lay off. But you've got to start up slow and gradually build up the distance Set up a routine and try not to skip running sessions. Avoid steep hills all together at this stage of your return and have a good look at your running trainers, do you need to change them?
