[Edited 6/20/05 22:16pm] Pardon my ignorance, but what's that? The movie where the boyfriend kills the girlfriend and the friends cover it up. I think somebody she knew did something to her and the friends are lying about when they last saw her

You do have a point here. Why isn't there more of a focus on all the women who dissappear everyday in Juarez, Mexico? There is obviously a serial killer loose there (probably sneaking across the border from El Paso) and little is said about it in this country. I'm not saying this woman's dissapearance shouldn't get attention, but so should all the women who aren't white and attractive. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

I've actually seen 2 long news pieces on that....it does get covered, hopefully it gets even more coverage in Mexico "not a fan" yeah...ok

This shit in Juarez has being going on for YEARS (anyone know how long?) I first heard about it back in 1997, and I don't think it was a new issue then. Not long ago, my wife and I were watching the news, and they were talking about it. She was unaware of it, and she's a VERY informed person. So, it really should get more attention. My point was that ALL dissappearances should be getting media attention, regardless of how good looking the person is, or their ethnicity. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

I can only hope that the Juarez disappearances are getting lots more coverage and attention in Mexico...the country that it's takeing place in... I totally agree that all dissappearances should get tons of media attention, but I don't think this girl is getting the attention she is because she's pretty and white...I think she's getting all this attention because she obviously comes from money...her parents have the money and the resouces to make this search for their daughter highly visable, and you can't blame them for that. "not a fan" yeah...ok

[Edited 6/24/05 7:17am] This case sounds like more than an inside job. Shit, I guess that I will be tuning into Current Affair and Geraldo to get the scoop b/c some news agencies just don't want to get to the heart of the story and they tend to sugar coat everything.
