Even though I have lived in the Bay Area all my life, I have spent relatively little time in SJ and I’m not really sure why. I guess it's all about perception. San Francisco, Berkeley, Napa Valley, Monterey, etc. get all the press and exposure and unfortunately SJ gets forgotten.

However I have been going there more in recent years. The Shark Tank for concerts and shows, Happy Hollow Zoo and park, etc...and I have been meaning to go to the Winchester Mystery house for years.

The South Bay should have a get together and go to dinner and the Winchester Mystery House. Wouldn't that be fun?

Well hopefully we'll get more publicity. God knows we already have the famous Finger in the Chili incident. I'll be holding those tours.

Did anyone see the movie River's Edge with Keanu Reeves? That's based on an incident that happened in Milpitas, a San Jose border town.

Great notoriety.....

I know you are a big Football fan and I think the Raiders are one of your teams, so if you ever make it out to Oakland to catch a game, you should make a quick side trip to San Jose, it's just right down the freeway from Oakland, about 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic (unless it's commute time, then it takes about an hour to an hour and a half).

Yeah i was at the Saints-Raiders game last year in Oakland and see the San jose sign all the time. I always wonder how they have a million people there. I probably won't see Oakland in Oakland this year, I am going to see them in Kansas city, Tennessee, and Denver this year. I travel with the Saints too you know Saintsation.

Me too!. Even though the 49ers have had a couple of really rough years lately, I like the moves they have made lately and I really like Mike Nolan and I think the team is finally headed in the right direction. It might take a couple of season but I think they will be back contending sooner than later. And I think they are going to surprise some teams this year.

They washed up and done for at least the next 5 years. That division belongs to Arizona now. Nice scandal though with your p.r man this week.

The Saint only make one trip out to the Bay Area this year to play the Raiders in pre-season which is probably not worth a trip just for pre-season. They do not play the 49ers at all this year.

No way. 8 - 8 is a good bet for this year. They were better than 2 - 14 last year but they had a lot of key injuries. They even should have beat your beloved Saints at New Orleans last year. They outplayed them and had the game won until Robertson fumbled at the end giving the game away.

No i wouldn't travel for preseason that far. Only if the Saints or raiders come to minesota, chicago, or green bay like last year. I wish the Saints or Raiders would have played the niners this year cause that is one win i can count on.

True but a lost is a lost. No way i see them going 8-8. Arizona, st louis, and Seattle will beat them twice this year.

The 1.5 hour ride via CalTrain is relaxing. Where's SJSU? I went there for my Freshman Year. I still haven't been to the Winchester Mystery house, but always wanted to.

SJSU is downtown between 3rd and 10th St.

It's changed a lot. We have a beautiful new Library. It belongs to SJSU but it is also a public library.

I was asking for a pic of the college...should have stated that. Oh a new library? I spent many an hours and took out many books for an English class that nearly did me in.
