The Cosby Show

I have been watching the Cosby Show since it first aired on NBC over a decade ago and I still watch it on Nick at Nite. And no matter how many times I watch the same episodes, it still cracks me up seeing them.

With that being said, it made me wonder...with all these TV shows going on DVD season by season, why hasn't anyone put the Cosby Show on DVD? The best show ever shown on TV...Don't they know it would make a killing in sales?

Am I the only one that thinks it?

it IS kinda weird that it's not out on DVD. though i'd rather see his sitcom from the '60s on DVD - i know it wasn't nearly as popular, but it was funny and ya never see it in re-runs anymore.

cosby show first aired in 84 or early 85, that's was 20 years ago. it went off the air in 1992.

I stand corrected, thanks! But still...there are so many TV shows that are on DVD that makes me wonder why?

cosby show was everyone favorite show back in the day, no matter what color u were! My favorite was Rudy cause we were the exact same age and I wanted to be on TV like her! Rudy still looks the same and she's very classy. Raven needs to loose some weight and she needs a breast reduction but that girl is funny as HELL on That's so Raven!!

The Cosby Show was great. I don't think I ever missed an episode. I got into Lenny Kravitz when he was Romeo Blue because I thought Denise/Lisa was so cool. The last season was somewhat lame, but I loved watching the show.

that process is called jumping the shark. shows do that when they begin to loose ratings. that's why webster and arnold from different strokes was so popular, they didn't grow...like other kids so they stayed cute longer.

On different strokes when arnold did outgrow his cuteness, they brought in that red head kid that played the guitar and sang country songs...I think his name was Danny. he was a cutie.

Amen to that...she was gorgeous. Her daughter is rapidly on her way to becoming a knockout.

I use to like cosby show as a kid. But its dated terribally. The pacing is sooooo slow. Each scene lasts about 5 mins. Plus cosby just goes off on one way too often and it gets painfully boring.

"different world" was better and faster paced (what isn't?)

"blossom" before "cosby show" I say. I think bill cosby owns the rights to the show, thus he decides when he wamts to give them up to a distributor. Iam sure many have asked him.

It was when they got rid of Denise/Lisa. Kicked off a show created for you! How bad is that?

ANd it's called jumping the shark bacause of Fonzie on Happy Days. It's when they (as a show) went too far to get ratings.

They have also pulled the kid thing in...Facts of life, Gimmie a break, Growing Pains, Family ties, Love Boat, Good times and numerous others.

"different world" indeed got better when the badly acted denise got booted off her own spin off. She was always kinda average-crap acting wise.

Did anybody else feel annoyed when Denise would clap her hands before or after she would say her lines? I don't know why, but that bugged the shit out of me. lol She didn't do it at first, but like the last season or two of the year, she did. Don't know what was up with that. lol

The Cosby Show was great, I still watch it on Nick at Night too. Has anybody ever seen that new Cosby cartoon "Bindlebeep"? I don't like it at all, it sux for so many reasons. I'll take The Cosby Show over that Bindlebeep crap any day.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I think Vanessa was the forgoten cosby kid. She wasn't cute and didn't stand out much and her voice was kind of annoying.

Who's The Boss jumped the shark too with the little brunette boy with the scraggly voice.

Vanessa was older than Rudy, Sandra was the oldest.

Fresh Prince of Bel Air also jumped the shark with baby Nicky.

Iam confused biggrin

Yeah fresh prince lost its way later on somewhat. It still beats other sitcoms though. Baby nicky was a jump on off "hangin with mr cooper" surely? (klhk's big breasted tean chum raven was the cute kid)
