Ohhh in the UK this week it's national volunteer week

and this year is the year of the volunteer

I volunteer one day a week at a alcohol and drugs service providing one to one support for alcohol and drug dependents trying to give up substances or just learn safer practices that will help them and the comunity as a whole.

8 hours a week, a lot of stress and heartache but rewarding all the same.

Heavenly

Usually I help friends. That's when I know the help or money would do good and I can see the results.

Not as many responses as I'd expected.

Good on you p0pstar. I'll bet the hard work is very rewarding. Addiction must be a particularly challenging issue to address. Much respect to you.
