and hopefully it wont become as commercial as the tarot or ouija boards..

i know it seems novelty, but i often trust it...

the stone needs to be cleansed when u get one, because mixed energy wont give u a straight reading...as far out as it sounds, ive been told by many people to burry it in sea salt and have it rest under a full moon for one night
and lo and behold...it worked better than when i first got it

basically u hold the chain between two fingers, and make sure your hand doesn't move AT ALL...the pendulum will swing in the direction of it's answer (back n forth usually means yes, and in a circle means no, diagonally means it's not sure...but you would have 2 ask it to show u these answers first before u ask any indepth question)

it really does work...but it might seem a tad outlandish 2 anyone who isn't in2 this sort of thing....

As for me - I don't. But I remember my mother doing a similar thing by hanging a pencil from a needle and thread and you hold it over a woman's wrist and if it swings back and forth or in a circle, one means you'll have a baby boy, one means a baby girl (I don't remember which, but I would think back and forth would be male, circle would be female). And even if you haven't had children, it will tell you how many and what sexes they will be in the future by changing motion or stopping and starting again.
Again, I'm a skeptic and don't believe in any of it, but my mom swears by it.

Don't know what to think of pendulums ,
Can't tell whether they have actual
power or not , without having ever experienced it
Definitely wouldn't call it bullshit before ever trying them

Sammi, precious, I already see where you are going with this. First of all, your nature instinct or spirit will lead you in the right direction. That is the best thing to go by. I used to know tarot, Voo Doo and a bunch of other stuff that I can't remember to name. Once you open yourself to these things they will lead you were it wants to go. Ouija and tarot link to any type spirit or force. I have yet to figure out how to channel the good ones. I just left it alone and let God. If I weren't so hooked to these things my spirit would have led me to where I needed to be but I was distracted. I get teh feeling you need to bite the bullett and learn that way. Feeling is believing and learning. And right now you need to experience things and learn from them. I have a feeling that your spirit has been right so far, you just are too scared to trust it right not. Use the Amethyst as jewelry for now. It is going to tell you something you already know in your heart anyway. Save your energy for other stuff! You are going to need it! Their are other orgers who can explain the tarot, Ouija and crystals better than me. But this is just the highlights.
