I live alone. I have for the majority of the last years as you know. I have learned to love my freedom but agree with what you have written above. I sense it isn't going to be long I sense. So I am eagerly shoving in a whole lot of travel and etc...

PS when I say alone you know I mean with my beautiful children. Alone only in that I am not seeing anyone.

ohhh byron... keep talking horny

i mustn't mind living on my own as i have done so for most of my adult life.

i have only ever had two roommates and never have lived with a boyfriend. i have shared a house with my sister and her family and realized then my occasional need to get away.

i long to have someone to discuss the days events with... curl up on the couch with... go for walks with... work in the yard with... and plan a future with.

someday smile

I lived alone, at the most, for a month and a half.

I don't like the feeling. It's very isolating and I get depressed. I tend to not be as neat when I'm alone.

I love living alone. I don't even want a roomate. When I want people over, I invite them over, otherwise, I LOVE the peace and quiet and privacy.

Co-sign. I've lived alone for almost 16 years, and I love it! In fact, I'm so used to living alone, that having a roommate would be a big adjustment for me! Not sure I would even like it, to be honest. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I've lived alone for the past year. I do miss my ex-roommate though. We used to laugh the entire time we were home. He was really cool. I miss him shouting something from the other room. I used to start singing a line from a song and he would continue from his room. Stupid stuff like that.

Well, I still live with my family redface boxed and even though I have the top floor of the house to myself I still have moments when I wished I was the only one in the house. nod

But....

I think I know what you mean Julie, kinda, there are so many times that I wish that I lived with my bf, sleeping alone can really suck.

Hopefully I'm giving her a standard to use when she enters the relationship/dating phase of life...I never want her to "settle" simply because she wants a body next to her... rose

I've lived alone for the first time in my life ...for the last year or so. Just ended a long (4 year) realationship and before that was married for many years. I do miss the companionship when it was good...but I am like most of you...I really do like being on my own. ESPECIALLY, after a hard day at work... mad

Things I miss...cooking for/with someone who enjoys it...laughing together...

I would like a realtionship again...sometime...but time will tell...right? My friends tease me that I am too shy and well ...we'll see!

Thanks... smile I try and do all the things for her that I'll want and hope for the men in her life to do for her as well...cook for her, listen to her, encourage her, admit mistakes...I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, though...but I don't hide that from her, either. She knows her dad is human...I discuss everything with her, so that she'll know me better, know who her father is more fully. I've even cried in front of her...I don't want to hold anything back. rose

My ex one day said to my daughter, "You see that? See how your dad treats you??...You need to make sure you find a man who will treat you like this when you grow up"...and she said this after we divorced. It was one of the nicest and most complimentary things anyone's ever said to me... *smile*

You pick up fewer colds and stomach bugs, living alone.

I don't think I could ever live with anybody. Ever.

I've never lived with someone apart from my family. Been living in my own apartement for the past 5-6 years. I love my freedom and privacy, but I would also love to share my life with someone I truly feel at home with.

I enjoy living alone, butI also enjoy living with Chris

I can cook, and there is someone else to eat (other than my daughter big grin)
there is someone to mow the grass
there is always someone to talk to when Im frustrated.

Chris and I have a good relationship,now

He works nights I work days
I dont see him as often as people normally would
