I always made fun of my boyfriend for being a star wars nerd until I saw Episode 4 on the big screen for my film class... I am in love!
Lucas' use of wipes is annoying but it is historically based and he is an ass, after all. 
Then I saw THX 1138 and realized that man has a thing for really long, really boring, and generally overdone chase/fighting sequences. Hurry it up already! But SW gets a big ol'  from me now.
