G-MAIL Invites - does anybody have a spare one?

Firstly - Apologies, I know there were various people offering gmail invites some months ago, but I didn't want one then.

I still don't, but a friend of mine was enthusing about them, so I said I'd see if I could get one for him.

So, if anyone still has one going spare, let me know, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

what's the deal with these g-mail accounts? someone here on the org was lovely enough to invite me to it, and i think both of us are puzzling over what the big excitement's all about. is there some kind of secret g-mail portal to the negative bizarro-world intrawebs or something?

gmail rocks anx. Super huge storage. Searchable messages. Just takes some time to get used to it. It is my main personal email now.

I love Gmail. It simply rocks. You can send entire albums
quickly and easily.

Your mailbox also remembers your sent messages. So once
you've sood a friend, say, the new Beck album, and later
you decide you want to send it to another friend as well,
you simply go to your "sent files" folder and forward
the initial message to another person.

Thus, you don't have to wait for the files to upload
again from your harddrive, since the mail remembers the
adress of the uploaded file.

And so on and so forth. Gmail is simply wonderful!

I've interchanged many albums with friends that way.

Right! I like the way it groups the messages into 'conversations'. Very handy! And well over 2GBs of storage lets you keep as many pics and stuff as you want.

This is from the gmail site...

A Google approach to email.

Gmail is an experiment in a new kind of webmail, built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are:

Search, don't sort.
Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received.

Don't throw anything away.
2232.013032 megabytes (and counting) of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message.

Keep it all in context.
Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation.

No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners.
You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest.
