God, I miss the '70s!

Everything about it rocked to me! The cartoons were the best, some of my favorite sitcoms were from the 70's, the cars were bad-ass, and the music was great! I could go on and on... everyone was more laid-back back then, more easy going, I loved the clothes - bell bottoms, hip huggers, plaid, butterfly collars... loved it!

Speed Racer, Super Friends, Land of the Lost, Schoolhouse Rock, Wheelie and The Chopper Bunch, Fat Albert, All in the Family, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Mary Tyler Moore, The Odd Couple, Sanford and Son, Brady Bunch, Welcome Back Kotter, Three's Company, Laverne and Shirley, Love Boat (God, I loved that show, watched it every day at my grandma's restaurant), Fantasy Island (never wanted to miss an episode), Kojak, Dukes of Hazzard (late 70s I think... so it still qualifies), Planet of the Apes, Buck Rogers... what was the other one... Battle Star Gallactica, I think...

I remember my first Evel Knievel figurine with the bike and the zippy cord to make him do a wheelie! Oh, and Tiger Beat magazine!

*Sigh* If I could take a time capsul back and live in the 70s again, I would do it in a heartbeat!

So, what do you love/miss about the 70's?

in the 70s u could turn on the radio and hear one great song after another. Tv was great.summers in the 70s kicked ass.thank gawd for Boomerang and Tv Land

I don't know, but I remember cherishing one of those with Shawn Cassidy and Chewbaca (sp) on the cover! They were very thin, if I remember correctly.

I remember my girlfriend and I talked my mom into buying both of us these bright, red, satin pants and shirts that said, "Roller Disco" on the back and it came with the cooooolest red, satin jacket. We used to rock the skating rink in those!
