Your Books [as requested by 2the9s]

It's been such a long time since we last had one of these threads.
I think the last time was when a certain Icesomething started one.
Basically it feeds into the fetish of booklovers to peruse through
another reader's collection of books.

9s asked me if I'd be willing to post some pics of mine giggle and so
here is a portion of my books.

I've moved hous a while ago and haven't arranged them in any kind
of orderly fashion. About half is on the attic in boxes, and this
half you see here was just tossed into the racks without looking
at what ended up where.

So feel free to post pics of your bookcases for all other bookworms
to nose around in.

Your bookshelves look almost identical to mine, except where yours have cd's (?) on top, mine have more books. And I don't have a strange excercise contraption in front of mine either. And I'm sure the contents are quite different too, except I can't tell because I can't make out the titles of all your books. But other than that, it could be the same library!

Agh, what a pointless post. You can tell I'm really interested in work today.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

Yup. I noticed that just now. The original pictures are somewhat more clear
but once uploaded to my link-site, they are compressed slightly which makes
it very hard to read the titles.

Plus, since half the content is still in storage, I should just have waited
until I had a chance to picture them all together with a better camera.

You also have Celine's Death on the Installment Plan...I have that too...

Have you read it? I haven't. Though I loved Journey to the End of the Night.

nod

Journey to the End of the Night was an amazing book imo. I enjoyed it so
much and it gave me some hearthy laughs.

As it happens, I haven't read death on the Installment Plan either yet.
My mom has though, and she says it's a bit like "journey" but there's a
larger focus on him being a doctor in a certain district, living with
his mother. She says it's even rougher than "journey" in it's language
and depicted scenes of domestic violence between him and his mother.

Please tell us what NSFW-books are. I really don't have a clue. The Kama Sutra or something? We simply had this book in the living room. lol My father had a range of English books in his bedroom, I don't remember the name, something humouristic about a butler. shrug But they weren't NSFW. They were just ugly and the house was safer when he read them in bed, because he couldn't stop laughing while reading, very annoying after a while lol

I don't have a digital camera !!! Why do you think the only pics I ever posted here are about five years old?

I don't have as many books as you have... But I notice pretty much on your shelves that I have read as well.

I only have one bookcase for my fiction books, and another small one in the study with all the non-fiction, mainly linguistics and books about literature.

My boyfriend is not really an avid reader, but he has tons of books about the Second World War. Very strange combination of books, when I come to think about it. Less classical than your shelves are.

Oh yeah, and one shelf of poetry as well.
