So Who Do You Think is Going to Win American Idol?? It's going to be a close race, perhaps one of the closest ones that the show has had so far. Tomorrow night they're going to announce the winner. I'm hoping Carrie will win, I love her voice, and she can also sing songs other than just country. The one week she sang a Pat Benatar song, and she rocked it!! It will be interesting to see what happens (can't wait!) RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I'm going for Bo IMO, Carrie came on real strong in the beginning but hasn't been very strong throughout the competition. Bo has been pretty consistent. I like him. I still think Vonzell should have won tho 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Some talentless no-hoper.
I haven't been following it, but I heard that Mario dropped out. From what I saw he was the only one who had any charisma and star quality.

This competition would have been waaaaayy different had he stayed. He surely would have won. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Well if he was clearly the real talent in the group it'd make perfect sense to drop out and sign with a label. Credibility-wise it's a great move. The contract is the important thing, with the show being a necessary evil usually needed to get that contract. American idol winners, like their earlier British compatriots, are usually doomed.

American idol winners, like their earlier British compatriots, are usually doomed. I auditioned for a show called Popstars here in the U.S. It was before AMerican Idol and similiar, but you auditioned to be in a group and there were no voters. The contract we had to sign at the audition was horrible. There were no lawyers present and we didn't have enough time to read and comprehend what we were reading. All I remember is the contract was for 7 albums, ownership of whatever neame the groups chose, and low precentages in royalties. It ran for 2 seasons, 2 different groups. They were not promoted after the show and have never been heard from again, except for one who is a lead in the Pussycat Dolls. Some that didn't make it on this show auditioned for American Idol. Kimberly Caldwell and Angela Peele, who is now in a soft drink commercial. I was so burned out from the horrible Popstars experience, I didn't audition for Idol

You know I had stopped watchin' this.....didn't know the finals are here already. Bo lost his "rocker" credibility by doin' this...imo. I don't think too many rock fans would take him seriously if he released a rock album. So, I wouldn't be suprised if it was rigged for Carrie to win in order to sell more records. She has that country-pop vibe...kinda like Leann Rimes. Overall I thought Anwar's dreads should've won no, but I did like Anwar the best overall.

Ex-Moderator | All my favorites got voted off early.
It was rather boring and ho-hum this year. I voted for Bo, but I really don't care who wins. |

so who won? I didn't want to post a "spoiler". I did that last season, and had people bitching at me for it. So I'm keeping it to myself. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
