A photo walk down STAR WARS memory lane...

Pancake and I on the top bunk of our bunkbeds (top is mine of course). Notice that Star Wars posters (and Snoopy sheets). March 1978.

Han Solo, Chewbacca and I on the beach in Michigan. Han Solo was lost at sea... but I got another one!

Happy Birthday to ME!! Pancake thinks he's going to play with my Millennium Falcon but he's sooooo wrong!

WOW! I recognize some of those posters! I had a couple of them! I believe at least one of those came from Burger King!

So much of us must have had parrallel childhoods when it came to this. I remember so well getting the Millenium Falcon for Christmas, taking my toys on vacations and playing with them in exotic locales (and also losing their friggin' weapons everytime I turned around!). So many good memories tied in with this.

Oh, and Chewbacca was my first SW action figure. By the time we got to the toy store, there was only Chewie and R2D2. I got the Wookiee, and my brother got the droid.

My father glued the weapons in the figures hands! I think he was afraid that I'd swallow them. He was sooo pissed when I pulled them out from the glue! My mom was like "He can do that if he wants to..." But yeah I lost all my weapons!

I remember the day we went to the toy store. It was a surprise when we pulled into the parking lot. My dad sat me in the buggy, rolled me to the Star Wars section and just keep pulling them off the shelf "Do you want this one" and I'd nod "Do you want this one" and I'd nod and again and again... I got a bunch that day- like 10 or 12.

heya! hug

i swear i remember getting those posters at hardee's/burger chef, but it coulda just as easily been burger king. i was such a rabid little star wars brat that if the scrapple emporium were offering those posters, i would have nagged my parents to eat pig parts for four weeks just to get 'em all. i'm sure i didn't pay a lot of attention to where they were coming from, as long as i got 'em in my sweaty little paws. lol

Oh yeah- it was some fast food place! And I did the same thing! "Can we go to so-n-so please please please" just for that toy! And this was way before the evil happy meal!

I've gotten both of my soon-to-be-step children into Star Wars, and thus, they are getting quite a collection of action figures. The girl, who is seven, had me glue all the weapons into her figures hands, so her brother wouldn't lose them! Of course, he still pulled them all off their hands anyway, and promptly lost them (for some reason, he loses more of her figure's weapons!). The boy is only three, so I still glue all of his in, but the girl has just given up on it!

I'm so looking forward to taking the kids to see this movie! The girl is going with me to the midnight showing, and she's gonna wear her Princess Leia costume to boot!

It was definitely Burger King. We didn't have Hardee's or Burger Chef in West Texas.

I think it was BK too. Just because we had one a few blocks behind our house. But I was so young I could be wrong.

I went as Chewbacca for Halloween back then. My moms was so poor she couldn't afford the costume so I wore a white long-sleeve thermal and she drew hair on it with a black marker. On the back she wrote in big letters "May the Force Be With You". For a mask I wore a rubber monster mask that looked nothing like Chewbacca but I was a kid so I guess I didn't care. Thems were the days. I wonder if kids nowadays get into the new Star Wars as much as we did.

If I remember correctly, they had the BK logo in the corner of the poster. Used to bug me!

Oh, my step kids DEFINITELY are into it! The boy's been running around with Mace Windu and General Grievous figures, having them battle it out non-stop!

Open an account (it's free) with www.PhotoBucket.com and upload your pics to their site. Then post the links from them to the org. I hope you got some Star Wars pics you want to post!

I'd keep the Star Puffs (and yes that's what the side buns hair do is called) but the woman in me would have to glam it up. Something like...

...and please you think my husband's going let me dress in drag and him not!
