Not really, I have seen dogs like that too in China and Korea.

I do like dogs, I do like animals of all kinds, but I also like eating meat, so trying to argue or make me feel guilty just isnt gonna wash. My Dad used to be a butcher, I can remember when I was young there was a dead deer hung up in the garage, I have no qualms about chopping up meat, or eating fish with heads still on, even duck or chicken or a pigs head on a table wont make me ill, as will slaughtering animals for food wont make me upset either. I think its just how I am and how I was brought up, but that does not mean I am a heartless person.

Oh I love beef and ham dishes, but for some reason, recently, I've thought of the lives of some animals as more enjoyable and worthy. I've just seen signs of very "human" behavior and emotion in animals. Especially horses, dogs, pigs, cats, cows. I think that they enjoy being alive and free of pain and fear. Of course it is anyone's right to do what they want and feel what they want. I have also chosen to be much nicer to people than I used to be.

PS: without the salt, I suspect that bacon would taste like poop!
