ENGLISH RECRUITMENT AGENCIES... Hopefully not a silly question, but it seems to be the "done thing" to email or call the agencies with your CV instead of actually going in doing the legwork...is that right? can anyone help me?

Call them to get their email addresses Nat and then send your C.V. It's easier and less tiring. They will respond to you by email or call you.

you think? the reason I ask is that in Australia I'd actually go to the agencies because it shows initiative...but that doesn't seem to be the way they like you to do it here

However, emailing your C.V is the preferred method for most (not all) and they will call you to arrange an interview. It's less hassle for you and it wont affect your chances any less by emailing. .. shit why is this in bold? [Edited 5/25/05 11:21am]
