Just thinking.... Don't mind me just writing out my thoughts...I figured I would do it here...Does not require a response just things I was thinking about....
So special...So beautiful... I have heard many people say and yes even very recently....All people are special...All babies are beautiful...and all people are beautiful in their own way...What a broad generalization...How can we all be special? Does not the word "Special" or "Beautiful" lose it's meaning then? Why is it hard to grasp for some that you or I can be or are inferrior? Why does that mean a negative thing....There are millions of people in this world better, richer, smarter than you at something. So it's about not wanting people to feel excluded? Perhaps to build confidence? Or just to be nice? I think it's worse to be patronizing or an enabler than to know I or you are inferrior...At least you realize your faults and shortcomings and don't have people trying to get you to believe their opinions... Which really is what it is isn't it? Beauty and seeing someone as special is like the concept of truth...Based soley upon the viewers ideals and prejudices...So then when it's spoken then it's about people's souls? All our souls (if that follows your beliefs or lackof) make us unique, special and beautiful....So is someone like Charles Manson and his soul special? Why does the specialness stop when the actions go against the grain? Is there some sort of "rules" that go along with being special and beautiful? And can anyone here or MOSTLY anywhere say they have never deemed another human being unattractive? Either physically or personality...and if so then they are not beautiful then are they? So what happens to the slogan then? Does it remain? Why is it so bad to not be at the top of the mountain? We all can't win...We all can't be the star or the hero....It seems silly to me to not accept that as a part of life...Im not saying give up and don't try to be the best YOU you can be...But why generalize? clever clever quotation - attention getting quote - sad yet witty remark - look at me! Everyone can't be special to everyone else all the time.....how draining would that be?
....But everyone is special to someone most or all of the time....and in differing ways....it's all perception... ....And probably they touch more people than they actually think.....

All people are not special. Your children are not special. OK, I know you think they are, but in the general scheme of things, they're not. All babies are not beautiful. Babies are ugly, slimy, wrinkly little alien screaming shit factories. The only people who think babies are beautiful are those who have just given birth to one, and those who have just witnessed their baby being born, and as such people are experiencing a highly emotional and stressful time in their lives, their judgement is clearly not to be trusted. Truth is beauty. Freedom is free. Freedom is beautiful. Everything else is conjecture. There you go. Feel better ?  Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP. |
