Anyone seen this film?

Its "oliver and company".

I saw this when I was aobut 3 years old. Dad got us a pirate. And I had to wait many years before disney bothered to put it out on Video mad

I played the soundtrck out too. God hopw I love "why should I worry" and Ruth Pointers "streets of gold". Classic songs. Great lil' movie. Even if it is formulaic as hell. The ending is awesome too.

Give respect to this lost disney film. The last film before the "second coming".

"if u do just as ur told, these are streets of gold".....hell yeah!

it's good, but unlike you, i don't think it's great. the songs aren't that special, and can't compete with Disney's best musical films like Alice in Wonderland, the Jungle Book etc.

also, as an adaptation of a classic story, i think it's close to being the worst of the bunch that disney have done. boxed

i still enjoy it, but by no means one of Disney's greatest, imo. smile

Yeah I forget what its based on at times. But I think "inspired" is a better word. But I like what they did with the story. Its cute. Humour is there too. But the songs do it for me. Its proberly mainly nostalgia though.

I like the setting too. I did a essay on the climax to this movie. Got a b for it. So, movie helped me out. It was titled "how to make a exciting movie ending" or something like that.

Get the CD!

It was ok. Made during Disney's "dark" years.

I remember u on my "black couldren" thread. U know about disney too. Yeah I read a good book about the films (and a superb documentary). The doc was made in 1988. "oliver and company" was almost completed and they showed a clip and the score was all different. Odd. Anyway documentary ended on a sad note, saying nothing will be the same again. Then look what happened! biggrin

I want to direct or make animated films when older. So I know about disney.

I like the "drak years". "fox and the hound" is underated.

Now its the dark age again. Disney got serious competition now. Computers have taken over.

The Black Cauldron is one of my favourite Disney films.

Fox and the Hound is also magnificent. Heartbreaking film.

Damn right. Thats exactly how I feel. I couldn't beleive how sad "fox and the hound" was. It didn't really have a happy ending either. They just move on. But its good like that though.
I want the score from "black couldron". It must be rare now.
