What was that show where the girl was Chinese and she lived with her grandfather at his hotel and she always solved mysteries with a little notebook...?

And one where the girl lives near a power plant with suspicious goings-on...?

I don't know if these were both Nick...

The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo is the first one you spoke of. It featured the second girl who got kicked off All That and was also on Steve Harvey at the time.

D*mn. It seems like all the MTV Networks went down the Crapper in recent years.

MTV went down the crapper a long time ago...when they stopped playing videos for other crap that didn't belong on MUSIC Television.
[Edited 5/24/05 20:21pm]

MTV had a healthy equilibrium of videos, shows and specials in the early '90s, but all that started changing once Real World took off in '92 (becoming its highest rated series ever). That's when they AGGRESSIVELY sought to change the format of the channel.

MTV was cool around the days of "Remote Control," "Half Hour Comedy Hour (with Mario Joyner)" and "Club MTV (with wubba-wubba-wubba Downtown Julie Brown)." Playing all them d*mn acid house tunes. LOL.

I really like their cartoons in the early 90's. Aeon Flux was cool. They showed Heavy Metal a few times. Also they had comic book cartoons like Bone and the Maxx by Sam Keith. Cool shit.

Yeah, yeah. Liquid Television used to be the jump-off. Brothers Grimm (ewww), those black-and-white cartoons with nasty and vile stuff. MTV was really cool back then.

Sorry, it was called Space Cases, not Space Rangers. Here's a photo:

Hey, I remember that guy on the far right. Wasn't he in other Nick (or Disney) shows?

The guy on the far right was the black ranger(for real) of the original Power Rangers.

oh lord, I forgot about these shows. Remember GOO PUNCH?

And the show Space Rangers?

There was another show... where the kids could turn into animals! Animorphics or something. It was British made, I think. It was kind of boring.

I remember Goo Punch now. One of the supporting characters on My Brother and Me was named Goo and he had a crush on the brothers' older sister. He daydreamed about coming up with a product called Goo Punch and made a pretty funny commercial about it in which the older sister hugged him I think.

Oh, what about "Hey Dude!"

Christine Taylor has come a VERY long way sinceHey Dude..Her Melody character was an afterthought on that show, but she was always cuter than the other girl.

Viacom has killed some once great channels...It's saddening to see what has happend to all of the Networks I loved as a child.
sad

It makes fun of suburbs and how weird those people are.
2 brothers both named Pete. One's older than the other. They have the same friends and go to the same school. Ellen is the older Pete's gfriend. Artie is the local superhero. The mother has a plate in her head. Everybody's a freak. Michelle Trachtenberg and Danny something got their start here.

Bananaman started on Nick in 1983 and followed Danger Mouse throughout the '80s. The show consisted of 5 minute animated segments (kind of like School House Rock on ABC -- very short animated clips dotted throughout shows). Danger Mouse aired on Nick 1984-87 and again from 1991-94. Turkey TV (like You Can't Do That on TV) was a Canadian sketch comedy for youth, Nick ordered it after the populatiry of YCDToTV. It aired on Nick and Nick @ Nite from 1987-1993.

There was also that baby muppets show.[/quote]

Yeah, I remember the Muppet Babbies and Dennis The Menace.

"Ulyseeeeeses, no one else can do the things u do" biggrin

Stunning theme song. They showed this on fox kids a year back to fill up time. but now kids love it, and dvd's have even been released.

Definately one of the darkest kids shows.

Sk8 TV was that skateboarding show with Matthew Lillard I was wondering about. Yeah, Welcome Freshman went off the air really early and I hardly remember it, but it was good. I don't remember Don't Just Sit There. Roundhouse was one of the original Snick shows.
