How Close Would You Get To A Swarm Of Bees??...

This close??... lol

I walked right into these guys as I was out getting dinner tonight...I jumped back immediately..lol..They were all over the "Walk" sign of a traffic light. Just gobs of 'em... eek

Here's a safer look..lol

So after taking a few shots (and yes, I do take my camera everywhere with me), I go and buy dinner...and when I come back out, I'm looking over at the traffic light, seeing if this bee gang has grown any.

What do I see??....

They're almost completely gone... hmmm All I could think, was that one of them said to the rest, "Let's go find that fucker with the camera"... eek

So...since I no abso-stinkin-lutely nothing about bees...does anyone know why a swarm of bees would just hang out like that on a traffic light...then just suddenly up and fly away??... confused Does it have anything to do with the Queen bee or something??...Were they escapees from a bee colony, or bee farm, or bee condo or whatever they're called??...

And I keep feeling like I was stung somewhere..lol lol neutral

Be careful, I saw stuff like this on t.v, swarms of bees coming out of no where and attacking people. This one lady was walking with her grocweries when a swarm of bees came from a tree or hive and attacked her.

Is there something on the sign attracting them? You should of threw an object at them, from far away.

have you heard of "wood bees"? they apparently don't sting, but they are huge scary looking fuggers.

I used to tear down bee hives, so I've gotten pretty close and have had my share of stings.
