It's not a lame challenge! It's not even possible to cheat with most of the pictures and it's still a fun game for those who are movie buffs- they won't cheat and ruin it for themselves. The rest of us wouldn't get them anyway so it doesn't matter. "My bounty is as boundless as the sea,

Now I feel like cheating with that Malcolm MacDowell + Helen Mirren movie
But I won't | |

yeah, it's a great idea for a thread. instead of dubbing it lame
I would trademark it while you can cause you just know that some other people will run off with it and start one every week and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

You still have number 6, 8 and 10 to crack, people! This is were the toughies are separated from the softies!

Maybe later. I'm sure I've seen #10
And # 8 would be easy to get (like I said before )but I don't want to cheat. Later

Whoa, since the others were cracked so fast I figured the last three would have been solved long ago when I logged on today. But not a single new reply...
Okay, I can say this much: all the previous answers have been correct. And here are a few clues to the last ones: 6. This picture was actually featured on the poster/cover of this Canadian, much-awarded drama (not all editions though, some had the main character wearing sunglasses). The scene is a flashback in which the main character remembers how his daughter almost died when she was little, which in turn reflects the main plot of the movie. 8. This lengthy, three-hour plus movie is little known these days but enormously entertaining. It's about a coffee salesman who gets himself in some really crazy and quite surreal adventures. The idea of the story is very similar to that of Voltaire's book "Candide". Helen Mirren plays several characters in the movie. Don't miss this one! It's a gem. 10. This is probably the hardest one to crack, so you might want to know that oddly enough - for being a slow-moving, lesbian themed drama - it has the star of sci-fi flick "Pitch Black". It also has a female writer/director who has portrayed her characters with great care. The photographer in the movie has a real sense of style, which is hinted at bu the title of the movie. An old "Breakfast Club" star also makes a powerhouse comeback in this one. There, that should do it! Now let's see if you can figure it out.

Still no reply? I then declare this challenge closed. Nobody won and nobody will get a prize.

There, that should do it! Now let's see if you can figure it out. It sounds like you're describing high art, but that still doesn't seem to match with my memory of that movie - mind you, it's been years since I've seen it.
