Nope...I crushed fresh garlic into the butter and melted it...just like making butter for dipping crab or lobster in. It was really yummy.

My favorite condiment to add to anything these days is spicy peanut sauce. I use it making pasta, add to sandwiches and I've even had it on french fries.

But my favorite is to take a tortilla and spread it with a thin layer of cream cheese, then add cucumber, a bit of onion, red pepper and carrots and rolling it all up and dipping it in the spicy peanut sauce. drool I'm in heaven.

I hate garlic presses. They always get all gunked up. I have one but I never use it. I usually just crush, then dice mine.

OMG!! Shut the hell up!!

Take the extra few minutes and clean it proper!

Or get one of those that has the little device that you just press into the opening to automatically clean it, voila.

But keep your crushed diced garlic the HELL off this thread!!

It's not that I don't clean it properly, it's just that they never seem to work all that well. And I've had 2 different ones. Must I go through press after press till I find the right one? Especially when knives work just as well??

I'm glad you liked it! hug

I've often thought about adding garlic, but I didn't want it to be overpowering which it must not have been for you. I'll have to try that!

Unless you're buying them out of the trunk of someone's car, they all work just fine!!

They are the most simple and beautiful device created by humans.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to use them wrong! Even YOU!!!
