Even though I left chicago when 9, I miss not being around different ethnicities. I was a white kid in a run down area of black and latino people. At the time I thought nothing of it. Now, in Norwich, England, it STILL seems strange how the city is so full of white people mainly.

Thanx to my upbringing, I guess I understand how its like being a minority, which I feel is a real plus. I by no way understnad how it feels to be a minority race of people day by day though. But I liked those people. And I miss them here in england.

Certainly u americans dont realize how lucky u got it. Plus most of england have many ethic groups in large numbers. My city, Norwich, does not.

Being a white kid playing baseball or whatever we use to play with mainly latino's was great fun. They did not discriminate (kids never do), but neither did the grownups really.

If kids are taught math in schools, I hope less and less of them are taught hate at home.

BTW -- kids certainly do discriminate. It depends upon how early they are indoctrinated into the cycle of hate. I am black, and I certainly experienced various levels of discrimination as a child from other children.
