MY HUMBLE ABODE.....

Yeah there's some tackyness to the house, that's my dad's fault. Gotta love him though.

Yes!!!!! The reason I posted it is because I have this "thing" for houses. I love going to look at them. I wish I had enough money to buy a huge one. I love the house I live in. I'm an only child so it's eventually going to be mine. I'm very lucky. My house was built in 1911. Can you believe that. Originally it was a 1 bedroom house. It's kind of a strange house. The kitchen is like a 7 x 5 room. The living room is considered a parlour. We added a room in the back. My parents bought the house for $18,000 in the 70's. I live in California so you know what a great investment that was.

Noodlesoup, your place looks incredible. The hardwood floors are like mine, dark chocolate. Mine are thrashed though. I'm working on remodeling.
You're place looks so tropical and comfortable.

The outside flooring on the balcony is completely worn. I like it that way. The more the laquer comes off the more character it has, and plus I won't need to do some much work when I redo it. Inside there are quite a few scratches and footprint! mad It looks ok though. It's definitely very comfortable and cosy. I can reach over and grab mangoes from the trees either side too. smile

Your house is wonderful. So stylish. I love it! biggrin

Thanks! hug

I don't have a camera of my own, so these were just a few quickies I took with a friend's. There are so many interesting photos just waiting to be taken around where I live. I can't wait to get a camera! At some point I'll wander through the local market with my camera and take photos of the people and all the food they sell, and post them on the org. I see things every day which remind me what a wonderful experience living here is, and just wish I could capture those moments for others to see.

I'm renting a very, very small but beautiful house. What I like most about it is the sleeping loft. It's so cozy. Especially when the rain is hammering on the skylight windows.

What? You think my crummy little sleeping loft is cool and then your place turns out to be some sort of Howard Hughes mansion - but with good taste. lol

How were you able to buy that? Investment in Microsoft shares back in ยด88 or something?
