Oh dear. How does a breakfast thread go this far off topic and in such a short space of time?
I'm like you, Leena, in that I can't usually manage much of a breakfast. I like having some fruit as I can always eat that. A cup of tea is a must, and definitely without milk or sugar. Why people sully their tea with milk I will never know. I guess it makes Tetleys taste better though.

I don't believe meat is murder, and i also do believe that embryos are for all intents and purposes, human ~ i wouldn't call them, 'babies', though. But i do NOT believe that abortion is "killing babies". That's the distinction. Wait till you have a baby.. I bet your decision will change you presume to know so much about me?

I usually don't eat breakfast and I realize I eat twice as much if I don't. So now my breakfast consists of
A bowl of honey bunches of oats with strawberries...or special k smart start cereal. I like this one better the strawberries are big and tasty. and only with 1% milk. I don't like whole milk Then I have along with my cereal Two slices of white bread. Toast With a small piece of thist type of Cheese...If you're hispanic this is a must in the household. In ours anyway. and a small glass of tropicana juice...I don't like orange juice unless its really watered down. Its too acidy for me. So I prefer the other juices from tropicana specially the punches. I just couldn't find the picture of it. this is doing very well for me I have actually lost weight because I eat a light lunch and snack on fruits. And I'm not on a diet. So I'm liking this whole breakfast idea.

"Soy milk, cuz cows are 4 calves..." Soy milk is good. I drink that quite a bit and it's very popular here. Doesn't have much calcium though does it? I suppose they can put it in there. Tofu milk isn't bad either.

I don't see anything wrong with drinking milk
if the cows can walk freely Damn , you made me get off topic again (replying to Madarista) Tofu is Soy What is Tofu milk ? (replying to Fauxie) [Edited 5/15/05 11:52am]

Dewrede said: Damn , you made me get off topic again I know. It was too tempting to resist. I'm a full fledged meat and animal product eater, but I drink soy milk regularly. Actually, it's the only "milk" product in my fridge. I use it for my cereal. It's a great source of protein, and mine is calcium fortified. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

So if I miscarried, I didnt lose a BABY, just a mass of cells, so I shouldnt be upset or anything, cos its *just* an embryo????? Thats just not right.. I think you should really think about what you say before you post statements like that. Sorry , overlooked this I never said you can't get emotionally attached to it of course the whole experience of being pregnant must be a special feeling Still i'm not pro life tho' (ok i'll stop this subject now)

I usually miss breakfast because I can never find the time for it in the morning. A very poor excuse I admit. I do enjoy breakfast though. I'm having a craving for boiled eggs and toasted soldiers at the moment.

TO everyone who responded to the breakfast question, thanks! I've been told many times breakfast is the most important meal of the day, still I can only mange a drink such as tea. I have eaten breakfast on occasion, but mostly I tend not too. I never feel hungry in the morning I think thats what it is and if I force myself to eat I feel sick. shit! It sounds weird I know!
As for the other debate, I can see the contradiction between saying that meat is murder but abortion is not. I'm of the opinion that an embryo is more than just a mass of cells, it's a "human being" at the early stages of development. The emotional attachment starts at this point and gets stronger as the embryo develops. for women this embryo IS a baby. The doctor refers to it as a baby and we refer to it as a baby. You can say, "it was just an embryo" but the dilemma is the potential person it would have become and thats what makes abortion an emotive issue. just my two cents! I'm pro choice. oops ...
