really? i thought if you could copy the CD on an old-skool stereo componant CD burner, then it would be able to copy onto an iPod. hmmm

i also heard another possible tip about marking over a certain part of the CD with a magic marker, but i'd do some research on google about that before trying to figure it out on your own, or else you might not have a CD to listen to at all.

i hate this copy control crap. it's not the answer. people want to put their music on their iPods and mp3 players. there are several CDs i wanted to get but haven't bought because they were copy controlled. i figured i'd wait to find an older version or hope i can download the albums online sometime.

I have not had a problem ripping audio ever. I have quite a few copy controlled CDs.

I guess this isn't quite relevant, but if you want to copy DVDs I can definitely recommend DVD X Copy Platinum Edition. It cracks the copy protection on any DVD. It's banned in the US (at least so I've heard), but you can still buy it in Canada.

no it copies the cd perfectly, with the copy control still on it so you still can't rip the cd!

cheers
