are women really

I know im a little crazy in the head and everything..just a thought. Aren't women really just like baby machines? Ok im a woman myself im not trying to be an idiot. But think of this. You ovulate, menstrate all that uber fun stuff theres only a few amount of time of the month your body isn't doing something that revolves around reproducing. Dude I say if you don't want kids.. or aren't ready to have them there should be like an off button. It's really uncool.

That reminds me of a short-story I read by Margert Atwood (author of the Handmaiden's Tale). Sometime in the near future women are able to get a shot to suspend their cycles. If they want to have kids they skip the he once a year or whatever shot. In the story, a young woman wanted to join a group called the Cyclist who still had periods, but changed her mind when she found out it involved bleeding every month. I just had to laugh at that.

Oh. You could be right, in that I'm a man. Thing is, I'm married to a Thai woman, and I go through it as many days as there are in a month. Once you're used to it her period becomes less significant. It's all about patience and being balanced. smile

I have no idea if that response is positive or negative. It sounds like something a hippy would say. Forgive me, I'm English and charming. smile

Ah, thank you. That'll be the same politeness that's not co-dependent with coherence. Now I get it. wink

Well, at least now we can control our fertility, and even our periods, via hormones (the pill, the shot, the patch, the IUD). This allows us to be more than just "baby machines". woot!

You have to embrace the power within you.
You have the power to create life!
What greater gift is there?
Don't hate it.
Embrace it.
