Since Anxiety couldn't comment on Clerks:

I haven't seen the anniversary edition but I've seen the original version. Don't remember much of it though other than that it was black and white for no apparent reason, that they played hockey in the street and that the guy's girlfriend had given 37 blowjobs or something. It was very dialogue-heavy and the dialogue was so-so. Reasonably entertaining though.

My last one: Oldboy

It was black and white because that's all they could afford. Well, they couldn't really even afford that much because Kevin ended up maxing out a bunch of credit cards to fund the film and also taking the money the insurance company gave him for the flood damage to some of his belongings. They played hockey on the Quick-Stop roof, not the street. But you're right on Veronica's 37 BJs. razz

eek Really? Was it exactly 37 blowjobs? It's been over ten years since I saw it and I remember somthing like that? No wonder I sometimes don't have room for new information in my head with so much crap stored in there. disbelief

Interesting about the black and white thing. I've made a couple few short films and b&w film stock is usually more expensive than color since it's less commonly used. But I think the processing of it would be cheaper so maybe the total price will be lower in the end. hmmm

I agree. I thought Robots was amusing in places, especially towards the end, but there were too few decent lines near the beginning and, as you said, we've seen it all before.

I thought western animation was going in the right, more serious direction with "prince of eygpt", but as that and "titan ae", another more adult natured cartoon bombed, they gave up. Shame.

They're trying to compete with Pixar which has the best group of computer animated, child oriented movies.

Yeah I know. It sucks. Until a more mature cartoon makes big, little will change. I dont think fox even does animated movies anymore? I think Don bluth lost them their money.

What the ... is Kagemusha? Unfortunately, that's all I can say about that.

BTW, only movies in cinema? Otherwise, the last one I've seen were the first two parts of Angels in America.
