Gotta talk about this week's ANTM

This week on Model... THE CONFUSION LIVES*!

Lawd hav' mercy -— that was the BEST Model episode EVER*!

Keenyah really "crossed that line" to my bad side this week with her actions. That girl was so pretentious and fake it wasn't even funny. She had nerve to *cry* in Nelson Mandela's cell when she didn't even know who the guy was*! Naima got to open the cell, but her a** probably didn't know who he was either. She probably just heard his name in passing. Them grrrls needed a clue -— Brittani and Kahlen aren't off the hook either because NONE of them chicks knew of how great a man Mandela is -— they should be ashamed of themselves and WE should be ashamed of the American educational system for allowing such ignorance of world leaders to exist amongst the general population. No wonder people think we're self-absorbed people here in the States.

I found the "black" dynamic betwixt Keenyah and Naima interesting to watch. Naima is a lot like Mariah Carey in many ways -— she's a girl who's not "black enough" for the blacks or "white enough" for the whites. So she's just this mixed, biracial "whatever" (as Brittani so eloquently put it). I'm glad that Naima did state her blackness when Keenyah kept saying she was the only black girl of the bunch. Naima and Keenyah really show the multidimensionality of African Americans and the black diaspora. We're prismatic people.

If you ask me, Keenyah's a** should have been cut back in Gluttony. She's treading on such thin ice (or should I say "thick.") Tyra and the guys from the ethnic shop had a point, her shape isn't really "FAT" for black standards, but that's debatable (it depends on which region of Africa you're in)... but I digress.

Cape Town is really beautiful, I really want to go there someday.

Next week's chop: KEENYAH*! and Kahlen. They need to go. NAIMA IS AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL. And I'm done*!!!!!

Hey Janafan,

I missed it last night. I thought I was recording it but it didn't ughhh! I'll catch it again on Friday.

My favorite girl has always been Naima. I really really hope she wins.

I clicked on that link that supposedly spoiled the ending. It said that Keenyah was the next to go, and that obviously wasn't true. http://thedlist.blogspot....inner.html
So, maybe all of their predictions are off. Let's hope so. Anyway, I missed the "big fight", I only caught the last 10 min. of it. Man, I can't believe none of them knew of Nelson Mandela. omg I'll try to catch it Fri. to see what I missed.

Keenyah's all like "I'm the only black girl here" and Naima's like "What am I? Chopped liver?". giggle

NAIMA IS AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.

If she doesn't win this show, all those judges need to get to an optometrist, post-haste.

I completely 100% agree except about keenyah's weight. Keenyah is too heavy to be a model but she isn't outside of that.

Keenyah is working my damn nerves. Naima is just as black as Keenyah's dumb ass. The "not black enough" thing is annoying.

I have no idea why keenyah and kahlen are in the final three. Keenyah isn't model material to me.

big up Naima.
