well, it finally happened.. the dogs got to the cat, or, shall i say, the cat got to the dogs
apparently, while i was out today, my pups thought it would be a great idea to 'get to know my cat'. i came home and my poor baby ozzie met me at the door he is looking rather upset now... his face has several scratches on it silly dog, i have told them time and time again, that cat is not gonna fuck with you - leave him alone !! not sure what happened, but the cat definately held his own any great ways to make cats and dogs get along ???? Are you new to owning pets or something? In my experience...if the cat and dog were not brought up in the same household from a young age...they are NOT going to get along..how you gonna place a puppy in that situation...I'm calling the ASPCA on you!! we brought sebastian in as a puppy when Lucky the cat was 6 years old. He wasn't happy to see the puppy and Hated it when he licked him in the face
We trained sebastian to leave lucky alone by saying LEAVE IT in a serious tone, loud and firm when he went to lick, sniff or otherwise annoy the cat. He learned quickly that Lucky was to be left alone. Lucky of course now rubs all over sebastian and plays with his tail when he can get it, Sebastian just lays there, occassionally he will sniff at lucky but then he remembers and looks like he's been caught at something. not fair but it works, and nobody's bleeding put antibiotic ointment on those scratches, pups can get a nasty infection when that young from any wound inflicted by a cat. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou | |
