I posted about a month ago maybe, how i won 20,000 on a 5 dollar scratchoff ticket which i did and after taxes it was only 12,000 something. Well i get a certified letter yesterday saying i owe for a house me and my other 2 brothers sold in 2002. I thought my older brother took care of that so obviously he didn't. But the funniest and weirdest thing is that they saying is that i owe from casino winnings. I was like what. Even my Vegas winnings was on their. I am mull. I know they asked for your social security when u win more than 2000. I just thought it was cause to verify who u are. It is for tax man to get u later. Even worse, my blak money is locked away in New Orleans and i am in minneapolis. Can u say holy shit i am teetering with bankruptcy until i go back to New Orleans and not schedule for a long time. Total they claiming all together i am oweing is over 11,000. They took their money back. I heard how others who won before how the government took money back for child support, arrest one man, and other BS. I just never thought it would happen to me.

Whenever you win over $1200 dollars (when gambling) you are required to pay taxes on that.
