Well... after a year spent together, full of wonderful, kick ass times, I went through a bit of turmoil and rather than stand beside me, the ex decided to tell me I had "changed too much" and that he wanted to find someone a bit more his own age and "ready to settle down."

I was, of course, furious. I didn't even see it coming. Sure, we argued from time to time... almost always over such piddly shit like who was the superior Jeopardy player. We had a very intense and, so far as I can possibly say, loving relationship that was there one day, and gone the next. So, I told him I hoped his cock fell off and he died and all sorts and sent him on his merry way.

I knew he cared because he called a bit, but I told him he had to stop or else I'd never get over it. So, several weeks later, I felt better and gave him a call.

I've been a mess for months. I cry when I hear certain songs, or pass certain places he and I have been and had wonderful times.

It's been very hard for me to fathom that he could be the way he was, and then just up and dump me.

Anyhow, we're getting together for a date and a retrial on Sunday.
