Ironing your jeans

Does anyone here still do that?

I never did, but my husband did and still does on occassion. Puts a crease in them.

I have friends that still do it.

How about you?

You should have seen him. Early 40's, 6'6", skinny as fuck, scars, almost no teeth and the ones he did have were all crooked and he called them his fangs. On top of that he used to walk around with his long black leather coat and pimp hat (and at least a knife). Got shot 5 times when he was 17 in his belly and groin.

I've thought about doing it, but I've never ironed creases in my jeans before and kinda feel stupid/poser-y doing it now.

I'm sure the crease will come back one day, posisbly with some trick to make the crease stay in tact even after washing. You could be a trend setter and start wearing your jeans with a crease right now. biggrin

The first time I remember seeing creases in jeans was back in the late 70's early 80's when Gloria Vanderbilt jeans came out. Folks were buggin! "$70 for a pair of jeans???" So if you wore them, or if you creased your jeans you were into disco and you sucked and stuff.

I do, but not for a crease. Our dryer sucks, and they come out all stiff and wrinkled.

I don't know how common this was, but back in the 80's alot of older people I knew would buy their jeans one size too tight, soak them in water and ring them out, then wear them damp to break them in for a more custom fit.

Thank god people don't do that much anymore. It never made any sense, who wants to walk around with swamp ass all day?
